A forever staple

After a brief hiatus from writing, I'm excited to dive into today’s topic: cowboy boots!
If I had to choose one staple shoe to wear and carry with me always, it would undoubtedly be cowboy boots. If you didn’t already know about my obsession, owning over six pairs might be a bit of a giveaway! I wear them in every season, without hesitation…even in 90-degree weather.
You might think they'd be hot and uncomfortable, but trust me, I've worn them in all sorts of situations. From a quick trip to Stop and Shop, walking on Mt. Jungfraujoch (the highest point in Europe), or an early morning stroll in England, cowboy boots have been my go-to. When I think of versatility, cowboy boots are the first thing that comes to mind. They're chic, effortless, and undeniably cool.
Different Styles of Cowboy Boots
First, let’s talk about the variety of cowboy boots out there. There are countless styles, but my top two favorites are classic cowboy boots and riding boots. The classic cowboy boot is what most people envision when they think of cowboy boots. These are my staples because they’re both unique and simple at the same time. Classic cowboy boots come in various designs, including patterns, mid-calf, high-calf, and different heel heights. In my opinion, the mid-calf boot is the most versatile and stylish.
On the other hand, riding boots have an elegant “old money” vibe. Originally designed for horseback riding, they pair perfectly with skinnier pants, making skinny jeans a timeless staple in my wardrobe, regardless of popular opinion.
Why I Love Cowboy Boots
Now, let’s delve into why I’m so passionate about cowboy boots. They’re chic, cool, and relaxed all at once. Most of the time, when you wear them, you don’t feel as western as you might think. My collection of cowboy boots didn’t start as a deliberate collection. It all began with one pair, and before I knew it, I had a growing assortment. Many of my boots were bought on impulse, but each pair holds a special place in my heart. Most of them were acquired during random shopping trips that turned into unforgettable finds.
Cowboy boots are more than just a fashion statement for me; they’re a symbol of personal style and adventure. They’ve traveled with me and accompanied me through various experiences, having unmatched appeal and versatility. Cowboy boots allow you to feel cool, but realize at the same time, AND it still gives off that modern city-like vibe.
